My Peg: Another Wide Leg Pants Story

This is the inspiration for the shoot I had for Chic Vintage.

And here's my version, kind of vintage-really vintage with all these editing efforts to make the pictures appear to be of the same era as the top I am wearing.

I have to sell this vintage wide leg pants.  And guess what, somebody had already made her reservation for this.  Me.. all smiles here.

The Color Magenta

Magenta is a color of universal harmony and emotional balance.
A combination of red and violet, magenta contains the passion, power and energy of red, restrained by the introspection and quiet energy of violet.

In the meaning of colors, magenta represents universal love at its highest level. It promotes compassion, kindness and cooperation and encourages a sense of self respect and contentment in those who use it. Gentle and caring in its approach, it generates acceptance, tolerance, support and patience.

Positive keywords include: universal harmony and love, emotional balance, helps our spirit soar, spiritual yet practical, encourages common sense, loving, compassionate, supportive and kind, imaginative, innovative, creative and artistic, non-conformist, negotiator

Music and Lyrics: Never Let You Go

I just kind of like the lyrics from Justin Bieber's song NEVER LET YOU GO
You might find it quite cheeky though.  :-) Hope you'll bear with me.

They say that hate has been sen, so let loose the talk of love

Before they outlaw the kiss

Baby give me one last hug

There's a dream that I've been chasing

Want so badly for it to be reality

And when you hold my hand
Then I understand that it's meant to be

'Cause baby when you're with me

It's like an angel came by, and took me to heaven

'Cause when I stare in your eyes it couldn't be better

So let the music it blast, we gon' do our dance
Bring the doubter on, they don't matter at all
'Cause this life's too long and this love's too strong
So baby know for sure that I'll never let you go

I got my favorite girl
Not feelin' no pain no fear

Don't have a care in the world

Why would I, when you are here

There's a moment I've been chasing
And I finally caught it out on this floor
Baby, there's no hesitation, no reservation by taking a chance and more

Take my hand, lets just dance

Watch my feet, follow me

Don't be scared, girl I'm here
If you didn't know, this is LOVE

The Color Yellow + Fashion Experiment: Men's Polo

The color psychology for the YELLOW says that it is the color of the mind and the intellect.

The color yellow relates to acquired knowledge. It is the color which resonates with the left or logic side of the brain stimulating our mental faculties and creating mental agility and perception.

Mind and intellect: From a color psychology perspective, yellow stimulates our mental faculties; it activates the left or analytical brain.
Happiness and fun: Yellow is uplifting to the spirits; yellow helps create enthusiasm for life and can awaken greater confidence and optimism.
Communication of New Ideas: Yellow is related to the expression and integration of new ideas and thoughts.

Creative: The color of new ideas, yellow helps us find new ways of doing things.
Quick decisions: Yellow helps with clear thinking and quick decision-making but it can also be impulsive.
Anxiety producing: Yellow is fast moving so too much time in its presence can agitate and lead to nervousness and emotional instability.
Critical: Yellow makes people more mentally analytical and self critical of both themselves and others.
Non-emotional: Yellow relates to the head not the heart.

Being the lightest hue of the spectrum, the color psychology of yellow is uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun.

Plus, bringing here a TREND ALERT on High-Low Hem Skirt

Btw, let's get to know first what is this high-low skirt?
As the name implies, “high-low” skirts are short in front and longer at the back. The variation in length between the front and back is either subtle or extreme. The overall length of the skirt varies too, ranging from mini to maxi.

This type of skirt is also called the MULLET SKIRT.

  • They make a nice change to the multitudes of form fitting pencil skirts that have dominated shopfloors for countless seasons.
  • They are breezy deluxe. Throw on a relaxed version with an airy, somewhat fitted top, a pair of sandals, straw hat and canvas tote, and you are comfortably and stylishly set for a very hot day.
  • They make a great bathing costume cover-up.
  • I am not a fan of casual maxi skirts, but the raised front that reveals the ankles and part of the lower leg on the longer styles makes all the difference to my eye. The effect is more like a midi with a dipped back, which I find infinitely more flattering than a casual maxi skirt with a symmetrical hemline. The raised front also makes it easier to stride, although you’ll have to be careful walking up and down stairs.

  • They give off a playful and arty vibe.
  • They provide more back coverage than mini skirts despite the high hemline in front. That means you’ll sit on the excess fabric of the skirt when seated, which can be a practical solution for public transport and the like.
  • With the right top, you could successfully sport the volume on volume trend.
  • They are quite striking in motion.

  • Hollywood celebrities are rocking this trend too.
    More here.

This is not actually a high-low skirt, but a different style of pleated skirt with a violet jersey skirt lining and in asymmetrical side hems.  I just folded the jersey lining to make it look a mullet skirt.

eggplant blouse - sigh's closet / chartreuse pleated skirt - Chic Vintage / purple embellished flats - Figliarina / peach metallic embellished purse - G. Fiesta / sunglasses - G. Country Mall / gold belt - sigh's closet / pearl accessory necklace - sigh's closet

Have you been to a public beach?
We headed down south to take a dip on one of the public beaches.  We opted to have our mini celebration of Easter Sunday there.  It was still 6:40 am and the beach was full-packed with people from all ages and mostly they went as families.

It's Sunday after all, family day.

    Happy Easter to everyone!
