Sigh Style Tips: How To Dress-up A Shirt

Sigh Style Tip for the Day:
How to Dress-up A T-Shirt?

The t-shirt is the everyday go-to upper garment and it is mostly paired with denim jeans or shorts.
But how will you wear your t-shirt in an uber chic way?

Put on your shirt, choose any print skirt which flows few inches above your knee, accessorize, then your good to go!  Make sure to enjoy what your wearing and your outfit will certainly glow.

I'm putting on a black fitted shirt from Guess and paired it with my balloon floral print skirt.  I raised the skirt, few centimeters above my waist, just to leave a few inches of the skirt from the tip of the shirt to give it more bloom.

Cinched the shirt with a belt.  To give a unique appeal on the look, I hanged artfully my necklace on the belt instead of wearing it simply on my neck.

Completed the look with my fringe wedge that I purchased during my trip in Hong Kong.  It added a matchy feel as color of the shoes matches with the belt's color.  The polaroid sunglasses is a plus!

Try it!
And share to me your own fashion experiment!
Email me at sighstyles@gmail.com and will certainly post your versions here in my blog and in my styling account in fb.

Primary Colors

When I was a kid, I knew I am in love with colors.  I have several sets of art materials from crayons to oil pastels to colored pencils and colored pens, name them, I used to own them all.  I have a number of coloring books and some sketch pads.  My mom did supported me with my hobby and somehow help hone my talent and propensities for the arts.

Playing with colors is at the same time learning about them.
And it always begin with the basics, the Primary Colors.

 Fashion Lesson
RED, YELLOW, BLUE

Primary colors are sets of colors that can be combined to make a useful range of colors. For human applications, three primary colors are usually used, since human color vision is trichromatic.
The combination of any two primary colors creates a secondary color.

Red, yellow, and blue are primary colors. They are the three pigment colors that cannot be made by mixing any other colors. These three colors are mixed to create all other colors and can be combined with white or black to create tints (lighter tones) and shades (darker hues) of these colors.

In fashion, you can always wear the three colors together in one look  This is indeed a rudiment for color blocking.

The Color Yellow + Fashion Experiment: Men's Polo

The color psychology for the YELLOW says that it is the color of the mind and the intellect.

The color yellow relates to acquired knowledge. It is the color which resonates with the left or logic side of the brain stimulating our mental faculties and creating mental agility and perception.

Mind and intellect: From a color psychology perspective, yellow stimulates our mental faculties; it activates the left or analytical brain.
Happiness and fun: Yellow is uplifting to the spirits; yellow helps create enthusiasm for life and can awaken greater confidence and optimism.
Communication of New Ideas: Yellow is related to the expression and integration of new ideas and thoughts.

Creative: The color of new ideas, yellow helps us find new ways of doing things.
Quick decisions: Yellow helps with clear thinking and quick decision-making but it can also be impulsive.
Anxiety producing: Yellow is fast moving so too much time in its presence can agitate and lead to nervousness and emotional instability.
Critical: Yellow makes people more mentally analytical and self critical of both themselves and others.
Non-emotional: Yellow relates to the head not the heart.

Being the lightest hue of the spectrum, the color psychology of yellow is uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun.

Blood Red

It was Saturday and had to render overtime work again.  I guess my future Saturday schedules are most likely be dedicated to my M-F day job.
Enough of that, I wore this bloody red skirt yesterday for my overtime work, paired it with my black fitted  tee and my black patent leather wedges.  I realized yesterday that  wearing maxi skirt to work is super comfy.  It gave me soo much freedom to move around especially when my tasks demanded a lot of motion.
How do you spend your Saturdays?
I tagged along my iPAd to work (but on Saturdays only) since I am into mastering my running - jumping - sliding skills in TEMPLE RUN.

It's Ok to Excessorize

EXCESSORIZE, it's a ''hybrid'' terminology for excess and accessorize.

I put on together bangles and neck-pieces for this look.  I am not actually a fan of having ''too many'' on.  This time,  had a chance to display some of the accessories for sale at Chic Vintage.

I am wearing DENIM top and dress.

Fashion Lesson:
DENIM
Denim (which gets its name from the French town of Nîmes (de Nîmes)) is a ruggedcotton twill textile, in which the weft passes under two (twi- "double") or more warpthreads.
Trend Alert:
Denim is one of the spring/summer trends for 2012.
