I Love To Style

I am honestly in love with clothes.

And I've just discovered that I love to dress up and style for other people more than for myself.  The satisfaction is overwhelming.  And this new love  has come into realization this year.

Sharing you here some of the people (models / friends) that I've styled for.

I am most challenged when I am given a concept where I can work on with my creativity.  Fashion is indeed art.

All pics are taken by me and styling is of course by yours truly.

Thanks also to my hair and make-up artist Dani Alcedera.

You can actually see more of my styling adventures and a showcase of my styling prowess (all smiles) HERE.

If you're interested for a fashion or any themed photo shoot you can check out HERE, or leave me a comment or email me at 27chic@gmail.com  / sighstyles@gmail.com

My Peg: Women in Baseball

It's been years I guess since my last post on "My Peg" series.  And tonight, I'm reviving it.

This outfit that I'm about to share was  planned as it was one of the outfits for a black and white photo shoot, but unintentionally planned to be reminiscent of baseball players.  As I have scrolled over and over, these pictures did remind me of the baseball sport.

My Peg: Women in Baseball

See the fashion evolution of baseball uniform for the women.

What I am Wearing:
Black cap from Puma; long sleeve sweatshirt and polka dot pants from Chic Vintage; necklace from Y.R.Y.S.; wedge from a Korean shop

Would you agree that my outfit do remind you of baseball players?

Have a good night to all!

New Year, New Realizations, New Plans

The new year is here, time for building new plans and realizing the long list of to-do's.
Last month of December, I admit I did something great.  I never thought I could achieve such.  It took me decades, literally, to accomplish it.  And I am more grateful to the Almighty God for helping me out so much.  And such accomplishment lead my 2014 to the most upright path.
I have several realizations when I welcomed the new year.
I realize, I should continue doing what I love.  Apart from my day job, I have other interests which fulfills my hunger for the arts and of course, fashion.
Looking back 2013, reminiscing the forecasts of Feng Shui masters, last year was not my year. and even this year, some of them say it's not good others say it'll be okay.  And I realize that I should not allow myself to be drawn into such conclusions.  May it be true or not,  I should go on with what I believe what I ought to do.
I am the type person who lives life day-to-day.  I do look forward for the future but I am more committed to what is in today, checking from time to time if I have been doing things according to what my heart yearns and of course with God's will.
For 2014, I bravely plan to pursue my yesterday's dream, especially my other interests...fashion styling, photography, fashion merchandising, charity works, and all those activities that I have been itching to be into action.

My day job would still be there and my efforts for it would still exceed what is expected from me.
I am ecstatic to act on all my plans for this year.  I have started some, not one buy one, but simultaneous as possible as I can.  I sincerely pray for God's guidance.  And I hope that this enthusiasm should remain as warm from the beginning as it should be in the end of the year.  I envisioned the prosperous fulfillment of the desires of my heart this 2014.

Fashionable Throwback

Scanning over folders of photos from "My Photos" in my netbook, I have discovered that some of my outfit photos remained un-posted (most of these as far as my memory serves me).

Today is not for throwbacks not for flashbacks since it is Saturday.

But I am still sharing it to you tonight my fashionable outfits of my yesterdays.  I guess these photos are from 2012 and 2013. See how I have been embracing fashion and living my life with style day to day.

Good night lovely ladies!

Last Christmas

It's already a month after Christmas.
Here's what I wore on Christmas day and what were served on our table for Christmas Media Noche.

The family have agreed to wear GREEN for Christmas Day.  It has been a three-year tradition that our family would wear the same color for Christmas.  2 years ago it was Red, last year Red and White.  Aside from wearing similar color, a family picture should  be taken as remembrance for annual Christmas celebration.

Green sheer top with black and embellished sleeves - G. SRP; skinny pants - White Gold, patent leather wedge - MKNY; orange bag - gifted by my cousin from London; polaroid sunnies - G. Country Mall; tiger-eye braid bracelet ; watch - gifted by my sister

Here's me, my sister and cousins, having fun, in preparation for our jump shot.

And for gastronomic needs, here's some of the goodies we shared on our table for Media Noche:

 the green salad
(lettuce, green bell pepper, white onions, cucumber, grapes)

 the salad dressings
(mayonnaise, vinaigrette)

 the canned sodas

the pastries (all from S&R - sponsored? hehe)

 the Lechon

 the spaghetti

the tasty squids

the garlic and shrimps! cooked by me

and these were the Christmas presents that I received! Thanks to those who gave me gifts!

Hope you all have a great Christmas celebration!

It's 2014

Happy New Year!
 Let's all welcome 2014 with a bang!

My 2013 was a year filled with bliss and had also a fair share of fears and tears.

I am truly grateful to God our Almighty Father that I am still alive and and have been given another chance to conquer another new year.

As you can see, I am wearing orange, head to toe.  This is not my favorite color but I'm still giving it a try.
Would you agree that denim in blue do look good with orange? Definitely these two colors mingle well as they are complementary colors in the color wheel.

Try this one out, don't be afraid to experiment.  Fashion is more or less all about experiments.

Happy New Year again!
