Winter Vacation: Day 1 - Macau

I have my very first winter vacation in Hong Kong and Macau together with the family.  It was the vacation that I have always wanted.  It was winter there, though zero snow, but so I have to don my winter outfits, and that made the trip more exciting.

Day 1 - MACAU
We were lucky enough to board the 12 noon trip via the Turbojet at the China Ferry Terminal in Hong Kong.  We arrived in Macau an hour after.  Prior  to our trip, my sister and I did some research on how to get to the major tourist attractions of Macau. Travel bloggers recommended to take free shuttle bus ride of Grand Lisboa Casino-Hotel since we planned to set foot first on The Ruins of St. Paul Cathedral.  The shuttle buses are parked outside the ferry terminal.  We took the most comfortable seats of the bus and took advantage of sightseeing the grandeur of the casinos in Macau.

This gigantic metal structure greets the tourists when entering the city center of Macau.  Failed to do research on this though.

Santa Claus on his sleigh welcomes everyone at the Senado Square.

One of the places that Macau tourists must visit is The Ruins of St. Paul Cathedral. And we did have conquered (?) and captured (camera-lights-action!) the historical attraction.

What I Wore:
My winter outfit in Macau

teal sleeveless warmer top, black knit beaded on the neck and waistline longsleeve dress , black jacket - Chic Vintage / black boots - Linea Italia / gold belt - sigh's closet / teal beanie, teal earmuffs (gifted), magenta gloves - Terranova / red sling camera bag - Halo / black leggings - G. Metro / black oversized sling bag - Gavin

On to my outfit: If you remember, one of the aspects of my fashion advocacy is Color Coherence.  During this trip to Macau my outfit revolved on black and teal.  The gold color from the belt, the red color from the sling bag and the magenta color from the gloves have somehow broken the monotony.  I always find pleasure in a well-color-coordinated outfit.

Have you visited Macau?

My Peg: Greek Sun Goddess

My Peg:
Greek "Sun" Goddess

Though my version is somewhat hip , contemporary and kinda less like a goddess ('cause have you seen a goddess lurching on a pair of rubber slippers and wearing sunnies?), but as white and gold come together, somehow the color combination of my outfit  becomens an instant reminiscent of one of the many goddesses of Greek mythology.

I only knew Aphrodite but there's  lot of them as I read in this list.

Soaked myself under the sun's scorching heat, I'm the sun goddess anyway, lol.

I'd like to say my inspiration is the early Sun goddess Alectronathough not much is said about her .
But some sources says, Medusa is the Greek sun goddess.  Now I'm torn.

But aside from Greek sun goddess, there's a number of sun goddesses from other parts of the world, see here.

This oversized white top, worn as dress, is available at Chic Vintage.

So do you have any favorite goddess?

Summer Flowers

I have been loving hats and even went into designing and selling them at bazaars and in my online shop here.

Here's one of those hats I designed and I personally love this since i love the color combination and the choice of rosettes that I put on to prettify it.  It's just a simple design but I find it elegant.

It's really fun wearing florals for the summer season.
Have you worn your best floral outfit this summer?

Shangrila

It was a day after my dad's 60th birthday.  We had lunch at the Tides and by 2:30 pm we checked-in at the resort. Vacationing with me at the resort is my precious and loving parents.

I couldn't even remember the last time I went to the beach.  I've been shunning from the heat and the beach every summer.  But going to Shangrila made me so excited and I never resisted the pristine white sands and the crystal clear sea water of the resort.

my family enjoyed the sea, sand and sun of the resort
