Going Bananas and Stripes

I love wearing colorful, printed dresses which reminds me of summer.  The BANANA prints impart that tropical vibes.  But I what I love doing more is wearing these dresses with my trusted black leg warmers underneath.

Here's me on one of my favorite go-to outfit, out and about the metro doing some errands and some trifling dates in between.

What I Wore:
dress -HM.Luscious / black leggings - G. Fiesta Mall / fuchsia flats - MNG / bag - Kate Spade / sunglasses - G. Country Mall / bracelets - SM Kids Accessories / earrings - gifted by my sister's friend

Another love of mine is discovering new fashion brands.  The dress I am wearing is one creation by HM.LUSCIOUS.  I love the perfect mix of femininity and quirkiness in their designs and that generous selection of saturated hues is a bonus.

1 Blue Dress, 2 Ways

"There's no harm in repeating a good thing" - Rod Judkins

Yes, I indeed agree with the author. When it comes to fashion, it is never a mortal sin to wear and wear again your clothes.  Sometimes, fashion influencers are doing away such habit. Most are shunning from the basic closet activity of re-wearing the clothes more than once.

It has been a while since my last post, so here I am tonight, sharing how I wore 1 dress in 2 ways.

Basic style - (1) wear the dress as a dress.

Another option: (2) wear the dress as a long top / dress-blouse

F.Y.I. - The pattern of this dress/ top reminded on the one of the toys of the 90's kids - Connect Four, see photo below.  Can anyone relate though?

Sigh's Fashion Advice:
It is always a smart move to maximize your purchases, that is, when it comes to buying fashionable items like clothes, always consider the number of ways you can wear that item.  Then make that move a habit.  For sure you will enjoy exploring the endless possibilities you can do with just one piece of fashion item.

What I Wore:
blue-neon dress - Cyecle / denim tapered pants - Forever 21 / shoes - G. Island Mall Mactan / cube bag - Bugis Street / pearl drop earrings - gift from mom

What I Wore:
blue-neon dress - Cyecle /shoes - Mags / cube bag - Bugis Street / blue stretch belt - The Landmark Makati City /  sunglasses - G. Country Mall /faux crystal earrings - G. Metro Ayala

1 Heart Dress, 2 Ways

My love for black and white is a public knowledge, as I have the propensity to almost always put on this color combination.  Upon having a sight of a heart print dress with the heart colored in white and laid out in a black contrast, I was certainly sure it will come home with me, and it did.  The immediate photo below that I grabbed from the internet is similar to my choice as to the print but differs on the hemline.

Whenever I purchase an apparel, I always ensure to maximize its intended function.  With my love for clothing and styling, I have fabricated a vault of fashionable imaginations on how to dress-up a dress, as in this new addition to my wardrobe.  See below as to how I styled my black and white heart dress.

Well you may have noticed that I have never posted a photo wearing no-sleeves outfit, simply because it is not my preference.  So when I purchased this dress, I disregarded the fact that it is a sleeveless dress, there a many ways how to address that concern.  I am also giving ideas on how to amplify the value of sleeveless dress, aside from wearing it as it is.

SIGH STYLE TIPS:
How To Dress-up with a B/W Heart Dress
How to Maximize a Sleeveless Dress

Styling No. 1
I wore the dress as it is, but covered it up with a black sheer kimono-style bolero and cinched it with a belt.  Matched the color combination of the dress with a black and white flats.

Styling No. 2
The other option of wearing the heart dress and not worrying that it is a sleeveless dress, is to wear a sleeve top underneath of the dress, and instantly you have a jumper dress!

Hope to have shared practical fashion ideas to maximize the use of a sleeveless dress.

What I Wore:
heart dress - G. Fiesta Mall / white top with heart appliques on the sleeves - Palacio de Fashion / white stretch belt - Landmark in Makati / wedge - Chinese Laundry / sunglasses - G. Fiesta Mall

What I Wore:
heart dress - G. Fiesta Mall / black sheer bolero - Palacio de Fashion / silver stretch belt - G. Country Mall / black and white flats - Belongse / sunglasses - G. Country Mall / bag - Louise Vuitton / pearl drop earrings - gifted by my mom

How To Wear A Sweater Dress

A dress comes in many types and forms, and among of which is the SWEATER DRESS.

After having caught a glimpse and felt the sheen of the fabric of the dress, I knew this dress would go home with me,  and it did.  I was even more tickled pink upon seeing the intricate embroidery of a TIGER in the dress.  You know, I always, and forever will, have itch to anything intricately and beautifully (in my opinion) fabricated.

This dress is so versatile as it offers a diverse style; from sporty-glam chic  to casually romantic.

The sweater dress is in itself an interesting piece since it offers a multitude of  personal style:

SPORTY-GLAM CHIC - it being inspired by Sweaters, see the edges of the hems, and that hood = so sporty yet exudes feminity as its color is metallic (like bronze) rust which is reminiscent of anything luxurious and the tiger embroidery that is craftily sewn into the fabric makes this fashion piece exquisitely sartorial.

CASUALLY ROMANTIC - the dress looks casual as the cut and the length is seamlessly uncomplicated but the satin fabric richly offers that lustrous sensation that is oh so hard to resist.

I wore this dress one sunny day for a family outing.  It gives both comfort and style.  Never miss a chance to look well-dressed even on simple occasions such as a family outing.

This  dress can really be worn on a number of occasions, regular days or holidays and even day to night.  Just wear it with the right accessories and your good to go to any event you would be heading to.  In this occasion, I paired the dress with my thongs for a comfortable stroll and the embellishments' color of my choice of footwear was closely color-coherent with the rust color of the dress. I brought along a wide-brim straw hat to protect my head and face from the sun's uber scorching heat.

Hope to have shared another piece of fashion advice.  Do keep coming back for more of my styling ideas.

What I Wore:
hooded sweater dress - A.D. Moon
cami lycra tank top - Sigh's closet
embellished thongs - 138 Mall
sunglasses - SM Kids Department Store
black straw hat - My Hats For Rent (email me at sighstyles@gmail.com)

Summer Prints For Fall

Tonight is not a good night as we are painstakingly waiting for some negative forces - the strong typhoon.  We strongly pray for the entire region to be spared from nature's wrath.  Setting aside this fear, I'm sharing tonight one pretty fashion piece that I got myself from my latest travel to Bangkok.

Summer is over and fall is in full swing.  Still I went head over heels upon seeing this pretty colorful piece, which utterly resemble the summer season, from the racks of dresses in one of the local shops at MBK Center in Siam, Bangkok.

The dress is made of lightweight fabric, the prints are crafted beautifully and the colors are screaming and this dress leaves that feminine vibes.

Worn with just the right accessories:
bejeweled earrings from a street market in Siam, peach sunglasses from SM Kids Accessories, stretch belt with gold closure from Landmark in Makati.

I rolled the sleeves of the dress for a more "day" look.  The length is quite conservative and decently safe for semi-formal gatherings.

The fuchsia pink satin pointed flats with faux diamond embellishment completes the look as the color of the shoes perfectly complements the prints of the dress.

This dress is available for sale at CHIC VINTAGE.

Goodnight everyone.  Let's all be safe.
