Shoes for March and April 2011

I'd rather buy shoes than bags.
So I shop some new pairs for my feet last March and on the first week of the month of April.

MARCH
love this peep-toe, kitten-heeled black patent leather pumps with uber embellishments
from MAGS.  i always love to shop for shoes at MAGS in SM Cebu
Even though it's an inch bigger of my size I didn't ignore the chance, it's the last pair for size 6

see how the details illuminate... the magic of photo editing
worn this first at CamSur
this pic was taken on the sands of the man-made lake at CWC

pointed white patent-leather flats bought on sale at Leaveland

APRIL

Went to Manila last week after a 4-day convention at CamSur
So I got the chance to shop at 168, my first exposure there.
Bought this yellow patent leather pumps for Php 150.

And of course, we didn't miss dropping by at MOA.  I was looking for the Forever 21 shop but the guard said the shop has already transferred (i didn't ask where).  So I looked around for some goodies at SM Department store.  Almost all shoe brands at SM are available here in Cebu except for MATTHEWS.  I haven't really seen this brand here in the city.  All their shoes are so pretty and some prices had yellow tags (that means ON SALE!) I got one pair, a multi-colored wedge, heeled but comfortable.  It was originally at Php 1,799 but I got it for Php 1,499.

Shoes and Rings

I am always a shoe accumulator...
and lately,
I have become a ring  fanatic - with animal designs only -.

Here are some of my shoe purchases, and one is a gift from my sis, and a few of my rings.

my salamander ring (1 missing crystal) bought at Planet Exchange for Php 149
 this is a cheap purchase @ P170++:

it may be of low quality but it prettifies my little feet

my crocodile ring bought at Php 24.00 at Aizilym in carbon
(such an amazing store that sells A LOT of accessories all coming from China,
you should take a visit there and prepare to be wowed)

Connie black wedge with cork heels gifted by sis from USA

my cheetah ring worth Php 120++ from Gaisano CountryMall
gray heeled booties bought on sale for Php 599 at Shubizz
(original price was at Php 2,195)
such a steal!
and the money I bought for this was actually a gift for my birthday

Wedge and Everything-In-Between

I visited www.shiekhshoes.com and was amazed that most of their goodies are on sale!
I grabbed the chance to go over their collection of pretty footwear.
I'm glad my sister is in Lexington, Kentucky for 2 weeks
--- why? ---
I emailed her to order for me a pair of casual wedge and a dress platform. yippie!

Here are the shoes that I so adore.
Of course, shoe list no. 1: wedge ---in white, pink / fuschia , and black.
I got attracted also with their multi-colored sandals.

classic white, espadrilles, wedge, platforms, mostly between 4-4.5" heels

fuschia, pink, baby pink wedge, espadrille, platforms, high heels

black&white (C.L.E.A.N. Fashion staple) in all sort of print&pattern
pump, peep-toe, mary jane

I am in doubt if I can maintain my balance and poise on these super heels
(in my opinion since I most prefer kitten-heeled footwear)

black + gold/silver + studs =  beautiful perfect
platform pumps, booties, gladiator, flat

multi-colored, nice?

more of white, so clean

The following pictures are the pair of shoes that I will be 'owning' 2-weeks from now. lol!
All shoes in this blog post are from shiekhshoes.com

Fetish: Wedge

What Exactly is a Wedge Heel?
via shoes.about.com

Fashion Lesson 101:
W E D G E S

On most shoes, the "heel" sits under only the heel of the foot, but a wedge heel runs under the foot, from the back of the shoe to the middle or front.  As you've probably guessed, it has a wedge shape, but not all wedges are high heels. In fact, wedge heels range from low to high, it's the shape and the length of the heel that classify it as a wedge.

Advantages of Wedge Heels:

1.) These shoes add height, but are easier to walk in than stilettos.
2.) Wedges have a very cosmopolitan look to them - they're worldly and sophisticated.
3.) A wedge heel looks great with nearly any length skirt or dress.
4.) Wedge heels, by nature, are a fashionable choice - by just choosing to wear them, you up your fashion quotient.
5.)Wedges will add definition and shape to heavy ankles, making them appear thinner.

Hot with:
Flowing skirts;   Bohemian styles;  Thin, gauzy fabrics;  Wrap dresses
Wide or flared jeans or pants;  Gauchos

Not with:
Pencil skirts;  Capris;  Pants with narrow or straight legs

What is a wedge shoe?
On most shoes, the "heel" sits under only the heel of the foot, but a wedge heel runs under the foot, from the back of the shoe to the middle or front. As you've probably guessed, it has a somewhat triangular, wedge shape, but not all wedges are high heels. In fact, wedge heels range from low to high, it's the shape and the length of the heel that classify it as a wedge.
