Music and Lyrics: Summertime

I am currently reviving my favorite tunes from some years ago.

Heard of the song, Summertime by Beyonce? I love it's beat and the lyrics too.

Out of all the guys that approach me
Walking up to me like they know me
You were the one that stood aside
Waited a while and took your time
You dont know how impressing
Your curiosity was to me
It was the fourth day of july
Looked in my eyes and saw that I

I wanted more than just a man
I needed a friend
Someone I could talk to
Someone who' really listen
When you touched my hand
The sun got brighter then
Trusting you I close my eyes
And felt our love begin

It was the summertime (when we fell in love)
It was the summertime (when heaven shined on us)
It was the summertime (baby there is nothing like the)
Summertime, summertime

Now it's been a year and we're closer
Fall in love again when I hold ya
I know that God set you aside
For me and now you are my prize
Wanna grow old with ya
Fill our house with your pictures
Have a son for you
A little girl for me
Together we'll raise a family

I Work More Often

Since the start of this year, my Saturdays were mostly spent at the office.  Spending extra hours to finish things that seemed to remain unfinished despite the hardwork and surplus time allocated and consumed.
Last week has been exhausting (physically, mentally, emotionally).  The series of events that passed off at my workplace had drained all my reserved energy.

To brighten up my mood, I decided to wear something colorful this morning, but I was actually wearing my favorite black leggings when I left for work.

I do love my work, but being able to dress-up from day to day is one of the best outlets to release those negative vibes that hit me from Mondays to Fridays.
I'm glad March is fast approaching.  I can finally dress-up to work.  Bye-bye uniforms.
My hairstyle has been quite boring lately. My hair has grown really long but I have to keep it that long for some personal reasons. But to keep it kempt, I have to tie it on ponytail often.

The Color Red

RED had used to be my favorite color.  But lately, I'm beginning to have a resurging crush to this hue.

Here's me indulging on the color and revitalizing the red dress gifted by my mom.
The color red is a warm and positive color associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive. Red is energizing. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action. The color meaning of red signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination.
Energy: Red boosts our physical energy levels, increases our heart rate and blood pressure and prompts the release of adrenalin.
Action: it is fast moving and promotes a need for action and movement.
Desire: it relates to physical desire in all its forms- sexual, appetite, cravings.
Passion: it means a passionate belief in an issue or undertaking, including passionate love or passionate hate. Anger is negative passion.

Stimulating: red excites the physical senses - the sexual and physical appetite. It stimulates the deeper passions within us, such as sex, love, courage, hatred or revenge. If you have a flagging sex life and would like to introduce more passion into it, introduce some red into the bedroom - the more red, the more passion, but don't overdo it or it will have the opposite effect.
Exciting and Motivating: red stimulates and excites our emotions and inspires us to take action.
Attention-getting: red demands you to take notice, alerting you to danger. This is why we have red traffic lights and stop signs - it is the universal color for danger.
Assertive and Aggressive: red has a powerful effect on the assertiveness and aggressiveness of everyone. Drivers of red cars should take note! A small survey I did a few years ago showed that drivers of red cars, including females, said they felt quite aggressive behind the wheel of their red car.

Positive keywords include: action, energy and speed, attention-getting, assertive and confident, energizing, stimulating, exciting, powerful, passionate, stimulating and driven, courageous and strong, spontaneous and determined.
Negative keywords include: aggressive and domineering, over-bearing, tiring, angry and quick-tempered, ruthless, fearful and intolerant, rebellious and obstinate, resentful, violent and brutal.

The embroidered blazer that I am wearing is up for grabs HERE.  Buy now!

I am recently learning on how to use the new camera and I'm taking a shot at photography.  But I guess my sister is the one who's learning fast and I may then end up to be just her subject.  All photos taken by my sister.

Print and Wide

The wide-leg pants is no longer a 2012 trend, however, it WAS last year.

I was cleaning up my closet and saw this chiffon wide-leg palazzo pants.  I thrifted this awhile back, can't even remember exactly when I got hold of this pants.  It's actually to loose for me, it's waist is garterized and the length already touches the floor.  So I folded the waist twice then put on a belt.  See my look below.
I put on one of my limited edition hats, to match the polka dot tie on my blouse.

But a few days ago, February 17 in exact, I received an email from my subscription from TZR (The Zoe Report).  And it's all about Pajama Dressing.  My look do qualify for this new trend.

This hat is one of the hats that I designed and is available here and here
Buy now, it's a limited edition hat!

The Black and White Color Story

Fashion Lesson:
How to Look Great in Black and White
via about.com

1.) Wear BLACK top, WHITE bottom

2.) Wear WHITE top, BLACK bottom

3.) Play with Proportions

4.) Add Texture

5.) Bold Lines

6.) Allover Print

7.) Mix Sheer with Tailored

The black and white color never fails me.  It's my no-brainer fashion color.
It's a forever love.
The color combination is equally brilliant, stylish and elegant.

Here's me wearing the color combo on a Sunday morning.

My version:
a mix of Black and White with Proportions on Top and Black on the Bottom
I wore this outfit on a Sunday morning mass.  We can never wear too short skirts when we go to church.  The length of this skirt is perfect, plus it is equally stylish (see the uneven hemline).
