Relax, It's Just Fashion

The title of this post is inspired by one of Star Cinema's movie this year entitled Relaks, It's Just Pag-Ibig.  F.Y.I., I am not promoting the movie, I just like how the title sounds and how it will fit to what I am about to share in this post.

Fashion-wise, 2014 has been a year for the revival of my love for dressing-up.  But, there are those days where I tend to wear a more r-e-l-a-x-e-d fashion.  Here's how I dress-up in my most "relaxed" mode.

Loose clothing is always associated with relaxed/comfy fashion.  Loose clothing ultimately gives you all the freedom for movement.

Donning a mishmash of clothes also defines the slacken state of dressing-up.

Wearing easy-breezy outfit is a de-stressing activity.

Being nonchalant is the simplest and most basic expression of a relaxed attitude even in fashion.

T-shirts gives that instant unbending appeal. When paired with the right bottoms, the look becomes effortless but still chic.

Before the year ends, let me share to you how satisfying and heart-warming  it is to be able to share what we love to those who deserve to receive it.

Part of my being into fashion is the fact that there is a non-stop accumulation of anything wearable. With the buildup of clothing in my closet,  I decided to share them with those girls I saw at our church on Sundays.  On my birthday last November, I finally handed them down my dresses, tops, bottoms and some accessories.  Since it was my birthday, I also gave them pastries and drinks for their afternoon snacks.

There are 29 girls ages 11-20 at Saint Mary Euphrasia Training Center in San Roque Talisay City.  Though I was not able to personally meet them, but seeing the photo below made my heart gasp for breath as I felt so happy to have shared  a portion of my love for fashion.

Today, December 31, 2014 marks the last day of the year 2014.  See, how time flies so fast.  365 days done and gone.  And few hours from now, we will be welcoming another brand new year to enjoy and live.  Happy New Year in advance and I look forward to a more fashionable year for all the ladies who love and live fashion.

Staycation At Plantation Bay

Last month, I was delighted to have spent a weekend with my family at my most favorite beach resort in Cebu,

I am fashionably ready for this short vacation. I packed those light and breezy but chic set of outfits.

Posted here are the three outfits that I donned during this momentary staycation.

Outfit #1
tropical print mullet dress + white / gold platforms
dress - White Gold; platforms - from Hong Kong; sunglasses - G. Country Mall; necklace - gifted

Outfit #2
peach craze: sleeved embellished top + skort
platforms for my feet
knit top - Chic Vintage; skort - Eazy Fashion; sunglasses - SM; platforms - from Hong Kong necklace - gifted
This peach ensemble is a medley of textures.  The top is knit with lace, eyelets and appliques.  The skort is some what jersey meets spandex.  And I maintained the color theme to my accessories and swimming bra-top.

Outfit #3
matchy separates in black and white floral print + embellished thongs
top + short - G. Capital; thongs - 138; sunglasses - SM

Hong Kong 2014

My business trip to Hong Kong last month is my third time to step on the soils of the region.

We went there to attend the VitaFoods Asia 2014 Expo held in AsiaWorld-Expo.

Those are not my hands.  Taken at the Avenue of the Stars.

 Cable cars at Lantau island.

Photo taken while we were waiting for the Symphony of Lights show at the Avenue of the Stars.  The show happens every 8:00 in the evening.

Had the chance to stroll and shop at the Ladies Night Market in Mongkok.  The market is located 2 blocks away from City View hotel where we stayed.

The busy airport of Hong Kong.  More photos HERE from the trip.

Sigh Style Tips: White Out

Seldom do I wear white, for fear of easily getting stained or filthy.  But I do get attracted on the color, especially on shoes and tops.  But for bottoms, as in, p-a-n-t-s / j-e-a-n-s, never.

I have bought a white bolero a few years ago, but seldom do I wear this.  What attracted me to purchase it are the details which included rosette appliques and silver sequins, plus the fabric is sheer.

Recently, I got the chance to wear the same bolero for two religious events: a Sunday mass and baptism of my office mate, who invited me to be her godmother which I gladly accepted.

Here's how I wear it plus paired it with my white patent leather embellished shoes that I bought in Hong Kong last September.

Look #1
Scarf-inspired dress, cinched with a belt, underneath the bolero.
dress - Cyecle, belt - Landmark Makati, bolero - G. Main, sunglasses - XOXO, shoes - from Hong Kong, watch - Anne Klein (gifted by my mom)

F.Y.I. - A BOLERO is defined by Merriam Webster as a short jacket that does not close in front.  Another online dictionary defines it as a very short jacket, sometimes without sleeves and mainly worn by women.

Look #2
white sleeveless top with inverted heart-shaped appliques, underneath the bolero, worn with straight cut denim pants, accessorized with pearl necklace.
bolero - G. Main, sleeveless top - Cyecle, denim pants - Forever 21, sunglasses - G. Country Mall, sling bag (as seen on 1st pic) - Celine, shoes - from Hong Kong

Shoe Fetish: New In For 2014

Shoes, shoes, and more shoes.
This is my second post showcasing my pretty (in my personal opinion) pairs of shoes.

As 2014 had opened, I began purchasing new pairs from flats to kitten-heeled footwear since some of my old trusted pairs were giving up on me.  Then there is this feeling of urgency to buy new ones to complement my closet finds.

I have always loved flats and my new purchases as pictured above have added up to the chunk of comfy yet chic choices in my shoe drawers.

Lately, I have set eyes on white footwears, and I am more glad to have found these 2 pairs.  I have been hesitant to buy white since utmost care must really be done to maintain the clean and absolutely untainted display.

The color-block wedge with peculiar edges was bought January of this year but has not yet been worn even to date.  The question is when? My definite reply is I don't know.  I am not into heels but I just happened to fall in love with this pair, so I bought it without second thoughts.

Maryjanes are one of my favorites and those with T-straps  and pointed front are elegantly appealing in my favorite hues: black & white and gold.

I am also happy to have found the neutral-colored shoes: the beige pairs.  This round-toe wedge shoe with spikes gives both a girly yet edgy vibes.

I am always drawn to anything with embellishments especially the most bejeweled ones... and this propensity goes forever.  Shoes with ersatz diamonds, faux gemstones, plated metallics will instantly make one's ensemble undoubtedly classy.

White  + metallic studs + kitten heels = I Like

The round-toe pumps are unquestionably comfy as the round edge provides a breathing room for the toes.  This fuchsia pump in kitten heels, is more pleasurable to wear because of the cushion embedded on the insoles.
As you can see, most of my shoes are in patent-leather, for the reason that this type of material seems to serve its purpose for aeons.

These 3 pairs are my most recent buys from my latest business trip in Hong Kong some two weeks ago.  I tried on the platforms trend since most ladies in Hong Kong strutted this kind of footwear effortlessly.

I have always been into flats especially those made of fabric and those that will not wound my feet.

of metallic flats + faux diamonds + pointed toe = again, I Like!

This is my second pair of yellow-colored footwear for this year.  I actually cannot explain why I am easliy drawn to yellow lately.  Anyway, what have attracted me to purchase this peep-toe sandal is the transparent plastic (maybe PVC) material on the upper portion of the sandals.

I am also liking jelly shoes. Though this one is priced very affordably, it looks much expensive than it's actually cost.  I bought it right away since it was the last pair in my size. Such a lucky purchase.

Bought this pair from Bangkok. Its designed is inspired by COMME des GARCONS Play

Patent leather and embellishments dowses the pining for elegant fashion.

This color block wedge is bought in Mangga Dua Square in Jakarta, Indonesia.  The color combination of the straps screams youthful fun.

Reviving my love for sneakers, with shoelace this time and in vintage floral prints.

Do share also your shoe fetish ladies.
You can check out this post HERE to have a sneak peak of my other pairs of foot wear.

Be fashionable and chic always!
