Singapore 2013

Went to Singapore for 3 days on the last week of February for a business trip.

A shot of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel from the Esplanade

 The Singapore Flyer

My trusted pair of patent leather flats for the entire trip.  Been used to travelling light, hence, a pair (and two, as I brought one extra for emergency cases) is more than enough.

The famous Singapore Merlion, a must-see for all first-time tourist of the country.

The Helix

This is the main reason why I went to Singapore

You'll find this inside The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

You'll find this at Arab Street

At Changi Airport Terminal 2

My Peg: Lady Kung Fu Master

Yes, summer is already here! The weather's scorching hot, how to make summer cool? Aside from frequenting colder places, drinking colder liquids, bathing time to time (which seems impractical), how about wearing cooler outfits? Meaning, opt for lighter, fresher, looser clothing.
Here's a sample of how to keep your cool this summer.

Blue and white are bold colors that shouts COOL! Agree?

My PEG:
Lady Kung Fu Master, cooling down on summer!

To give a fashionable touch of this ensemble, I cinched the top, as it is quite loose, with 2-layer belt.  I'm kinda more into layering belts now, it just shows again my propensity to layering. And piled on necklaces of varying heights.

Oh, i just love summer's heat.

The colors of this outfit manifests my nationalistic side, in a chic way, lol.  The colors yellow, red, blue and white = the colors of the Philippine flag.  An early celebration for Araw ng Kagitingan - April 9 of every year - (Day of Valor).

To beat the glaring sun, remember to put on those sunglasses!

Sigh Style Tips: How To Dress-up A Shirt

Sigh Style Tip for the Day:
How to Dress-up A T-Shirt?

The t-shirt is the everyday go-to upper garment and it is mostly paired with denim jeans or shorts.
But how will you wear your t-shirt in an uber chic way?

Put on your shirt, choose any print skirt which flows few inches above your knee, accessorize, then your good to go!  Make sure to enjoy what your wearing and your outfit will certainly glow.

I'm putting on a black fitted shirt from Guess and paired it with my balloon floral print skirt.  I raised the skirt, few centimeters above my waist, just to leave a few inches of the skirt from the tip of the shirt to give it more bloom.

Cinched the shirt with a belt.  To give a unique appeal on the look, I hanged artfully my necklace on the belt instead of wearing it simply on my neck.

Completed the look with my fringe wedge that I purchased during my trip in Hong Kong.  It added a matchy feel as color of the shoes matches with the belt's color.  The polaroid sunglasses is a plus!

Try it!
And share to me your own fashion experiment!
Email me at sighstyles@gmail.com and will certainly post your versions here in my blog and in my styling account in fb.

Color Block + Harlequin

With this outfit post, I guess ,I'm all set for summer.

This post is a mix of color block and the Harlequin-inspired print.  This is also visually explanatory for my love for color coordination.

The blazer is custom-made and I designed it.  Chic Vintage is now accepting custom-made clothes.  This blazer is a sample and this is also available for sale.  The concept for this blazer is color blocking.  I chose mustard and aqua as I find this color combination quite unusual.  The pockets, sleeve ends and the right back portion is in aqua, the rest are in mustard.

Cinched the blazer and dress-top with a belt for a more fitted look.
You may have noticed that most of my looks in my posts are make-up-free.  Yes, I'm not a make-up person.  My go-to coats for my face are my E.L.F. Concealer in apricot beige and E.L.F. Clarifying Pressed Powder in ivory and for the lips I'm ok with Nivea Lip Gloss in cherry.  But if I put on lipstick, the tint must be bloody red and I'm trying now E.L.F.'s lipstick in Fearless.
