i Travel - Davao City

August 6-8, 2010
I may have underestimated this city, but being able to step on their soils and traverse their metropolis,  I can definitely say now that it is such a wonderful place down under in Mindanao that is worth visiting over and over.

Durian sculpture by Kublai Millan greets you at the airport grounds

Ponce Suites: an art gallery and hotel rolled into one.
It's definitely one of its kind.
It houses Kublai Millan's artistic creations.
A separate post will be dedicated to this Filipino artist and his masterpieces.

Queensland Park houses two full-sized replicas of famous European statues:
1. David, originally sculpted by Michaelangelo Buonarroti in 1501

2. The Little Mermaid, originally located at Copenhagen, Denmark

People's Park

I was into floral prints during this trip.
on me:
red-black floral dress paired with black textured leggings and a pair of Ipanema thongs purchased in Singapore by my dear sister, black Nike watch, white gold ring

on me:
black biker cropped hoodie, black-white floral dress, Nina Ricci platforms that I bought in Cagayan de Oro (during this trip)

Have you been to Davao City?

i Travel - Mindanao

My First week of August 2010 was spent on a not-so-well-planned travel to Mindanao.

from Cagayan de Oro City to Davao City...

St. Augustine Parish in Cagayan de Oro City

to Davao City via Bukidnon, thru an 8-hour bus ride

pineapple plantation

we stopped over at Valencia City's (Bukidnon) bus terminal at 1:30 pm to have lunch

we were nearing Davao City but we had to pass this foggy areas for an hour

the day after arriving Davao City, we headed to General Santos City first then,

to Polomolok, South Cotabato

final stop:  Davao City

Street Fashion - Cebu City, August 2010

Style Sightings in the city.

tattered top and her main accessory: American guy

Koreans have invaded the city, both wearing their Sunday's best dress

a tierred micro-mini skirt, a thong wedge and
her accessories: a conspicuous tattoo on her leg and a wedding ring

black fitted tee, hot pink skinny, wedge shoe, sling bag

hats are in! + a sheer maxi and flip flops

vertical-striped short shorts, neon top, ballerina flats and blingblings

skinny and nude pumps on the street

and spotted Gizelle Faye of vanilla ice cream (wearing white top & rolled-up denim) when we were dining at Red Kimono at the Terraces last August 25, 2010.  I guess she just got back from her Bangkok shopping trip.
