What needs to be REHYDRATED And Why, again?
Primarily the word Rehydrate is associated with moisture, which is almost equivalent to WATER, as being delineated by the dictionary.
Rehydration can be both applicable to living creatures and inanimate objects. In application to our human race, the answer to your initial wringer, on what needs to be rehydrated, is the HUMAN BODY!

WATER is life, probably no one would disagree with me to this fact.
To refresh you with elementary knowledge, WATER is the main constituent of the cells, tissues, and organs of the human body. Babies have the most, being born at about 78%. By one year of age, that amount drops to about 65%. A normal adult has an average of 60% water content and as we age, this percentage decreases to 50%.
Why REHYDRATE? when we already have a lot of water in our body.
Water serves a number of essential functions to keep us all going:
- A vital nutrient to the life of every cell acts first as a building material.
- It regulates our internal body temperature by sweating and respiration
- The carbohydrates and proteins that our bodies use as food are metabolized and transported by water in the bloodstream;
- It assists in flushing waste mainly through urination
- acts as a shock absorber for the brain, spinal cord, and fetus
- forms saliva
- lubricates joints
The word Moderation may not be applicable when it comes to water consumption for the body. Each day, the human body is required to consume a certain amount of water for survival purposes. An extra glass of that requirement won't hurt, right? Drink up, rehydrate with water! Skip those carbonated sodas and flavored juices. Water, as plain as it is, or you prefer those sparkling effect that tingles the oral cavity, or you can opt for the fortified ones: with vitamins and minerals on every gulp of H2O.
2.) Body Part = SKIN
Activity = APPLY SKIN MOISTURIZERS
Fast Fact about our SKIN:
The integument or skin is the largest organ of the body, making up 16% of body
weight, with a surface area of 1.8 m2. It has several functions, the most important
being to form a physical barrier to the environment, allowing and limiting the
inward and outward passage of water, electrolytes and various substances while
providing protection against micro-organisms, ultraviolet radiation, toxic agents
and mechanical insults. source: HERE
The skin contains 64% water. With the insurmountable aggressors including the harshness of the polluted environment and the keeping up with life's daily pressures will result in an inevitable degradation of our skin. As caretakers of our body, it is but our responsibility to keep also our skin not just functioning but more importantly healthy. But how? REHYDRATION is the simple key! Maintaining the suppleness and youthfulness of the skin is achieved through constant Rehydration, not just by drinking Water but equally important also is the topical application of skin moisturizers.
The Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) defines cosmetics as "articles intended to be rubbed, poured, sprinkled, or sprayed on, introduced into, or otherwise applied to the human body...for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance."Jun 7, 2016
Cosmetic as it is categorized, a SKIN MOISTURIZER is formulated to provide paramount benefits to our skin including: (1) keeps skin hydrated, (2) counters flaking and dullness, (3) serves as a protective layer to arrest moisture loss, (4) provides barrier from outside deleterious environment, and (5) indulges nourishment through the auspicious blend of active ingredients and multifunctional excipients that the skin can luxuriate in.
A skin moisturizer can come in different platforms: Lotion, Creams, and Oil Blends. Do you have either one of these kinds of moisturizer at hand? If none, better grab one to rehydrate, now!
3.) Body Part = BRAIN
Activity = READ, READ, READ
According to the varied sources from the world wide web:
The human brain is comprised of 77 to 78 percent water.
But why Rehydrate again as its anatomical structure is almost filled up with water?
Fast-Fact:
According to Dr. Corinne Allen, founder of the Advanced Learning and Development Institute, brain cells need two times more energy than other cells in the body. Water provides this energy more effectively than any other substance. When your brain is functioning on a full reserve of water, you will be able to think faster, be more focused, and experience greater clarity and creativity. source: HERE
For optimal functioning, we are obliged to REHYDRATE our brains in a constant manner. Drinking water is the number one to-do to keep our brain healthy and devoid of disorders. Correspondingly critical to our brain's daily maintenance is to exercise it simply by Reading. If studying appeals cumbersome, let us just settle for the verb READ.
A number of articles have been written regarding the amplitude benefits when one takes time to read on a daily basis. To mention a few: (1) stimulates our brain, mentally (2) provides a heft of knowledge (3) augments our vocabulary (4) pacifies our fatigued consciousness (5) sharpens our concentration, and a lot more.
We can make reading a habit by reading one page at a time each day. Buy your favorite novel or a book of your preferred genre; or for a start, borrow one, from a family member or a friend. In my case, I love reading general topics to widen my horizon and to improve what needs to be enhanced. Self-help reads at times and inspirational and religious books also are in my mini library.
Rehydration is absolutely essential in today's world and lifetime. So much so that it is never too arduous nor too late to begin it, today!
The three activities must be done simultaneously for the maximum attainment of the advantages Rehydration can offer.
